Air Travel

The Cape Town International Airport is the main airport, located approximately 180 km / 2.5 hrs to the East of Montagu.

On the Road…

From the N1 west (Cape Town, Stellenbosch, Paarl)

You have the choice of taking the N1 Huguenot Tunnel (toll is ever increasing and since June 2014 is R30.00 or driving over the Du Toits Kloof Pass which is very scenic and recommendable in good weather.

Drive on the N1 till Worcester, Turn right onto the Robertson Rd (R60). Continue on through Robertson onto the R62 through Ashton on to Montagu via the Cogmans Kloof Pass.

Be aware that the local traffic cops have been trapping in the towns (60km zones) and sometimes in the kloof before Montagu.

From the N2 west (Somerset West, Kleinmond, Hermanus)
Drive on the N2 past Riviersonderend. turn left onto the R317 through Bonnievale, turn left onto the R60 towards Ashton. Turn right at the Ashton T Junction to Montagu via the Cogmans Kloof Pass.

From the N1 east
Drive on the N1 past Touws Rivier, Turn left onto the R318 and drive 77km South to Montagu

From the N2 east (Swellendam)
Drive on the N2 to Swellendam. Turn right onto the R60.  Drive 44kms towards Ashton. Turn right at the Ashton T Junction to Montagu via the Cogmans Kloof Pass.
